For some reason I am dumb and didn't realize that today was July first. This marks the first run of Camp Nanowrimo! I didn't realize until a few minutes ago, so I don't have time to write much today. Luckily I had started the file for my phases on the Moth King project today, and had done a tiny bit of work on that before getting distracted and teaching myself to play the recorder. It'll do to get started, I think.
Current word count: 142/ 50,000
Phases written: 0
Not exactly an auspicious start. :I Luckily, July is a 31 day month, so even by writing as few words as I did today, I have ever so slightly LESS for my daily word requirements than I would in November.
Now, to see if I can bolster today's number slightly before I pass out from exhaustion.

Just a bit of fun
Mary Sue Test
I fed Largo, the main character from my current project through this and came out with a score of 12. Not bad, I say. :)

Phases
I stumbled across this article about a writing technique that involves writing a ver detailed outline, organized in "phases".

There are a lot of things about this that are already similar to how I work, and it appeals to my "I like to know where I'm going when I start" nature. I think I'm going to try utilizing this method of planning in my own projects.

Well, then.
This blog is a little spot for me to make notes about my writing progress, as well as for me to stash things like word tickers. IT's not really intended for public entertainment, so I doubt much of interest will really be published here. However, some of my rantings might prove amusing from time to time.
We'll see!
